Showcases and outings, one entry at a time
Two kinds of company day share this ledger: the showcase, where a product meets its audience for the first time, and the outing, where colleagues and their families leave the office behind. Both succeed or fail on a handful of decisions made weeks earlier. These entries record those decisions, one setting at a time.
House rule: name the one moment people should remember, then plan backwards from it.
Showcase entries
- Staging a ballroom reveal: lighting, cues and secrecy before a launch on the bay.
- A launch on two levels: running capsule moments and a ground programme together.
- Launching to passers-by: designing an activation for people who did not plan to stop.
Outing entries
- A family day under one roof: a covered day out for toddlers, parents and grandparents.
- A golf outing for mixed abilities: formats that work for keen players and complete beginners.
How the entries are written
Each entry opens with the problem a planner actually faces, works through the choices, and closes with points to carry into a venue meeting. Venue details are kept general on purpose: spaces, rules and access arrangements change, so always check current details with the venue.
For outdoor days, the Meteorological Service Singapore is the place to look for forecasts and weather warnings.
